Showtime's 'Masters of Sex' Cancelled After Four Seasons

Showtime has not picked up Masters of Sex for a fifth season, Just Jared can confirm.

The season four finale – which will now be the season finale – aired on November 10 and saw William Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) working to save their practice.

“MASTERS OF SEX was a beautifully written and acted exploration of America’s changing sexual mores. We are incredibly proud to have shared the story of Masters and Johnson for four critically-acclaimed seasons. The series will remain available across our platforms where new viewers can discover it for years to come,” Showtime said in a statement.
