Jessica Chastain Hopes 'Miss Sloane' Will Help Affect Society's Perception of Women!

Jessica Chastain is hoping her critically-acclaimed new film Miss Sloane will help affect the way society perceives women!

“It’s crazy how the timing of his film has worked out,” the Oscar-nominated actress recently told THR. “But this film shows a successful, powerful, overprepared, perfectionist woman – with flaws, because she’s allowed those – who is working in D.C. and on an issue that isn’t gender-specific.”

“The more movies that feature parts like this, a thorny, dynamic character who doesn’t have to be America’s sweetheart, I think it’ll help us reimagine the role that women are supposed to take in our society,” Jessica added. “We’re allowed to be ambitious and ask for a pay raise and a promotion – and in fact, we should.”

Last night (December 5), Jessica stunned on the red carpet as she joined director John Madden and her co-stars Sergio Di Zio, Grace Lynn Kung, Alexandra Castillo, Aaron Hale, Raoul Bhaneja and Jack Murray at the premiere of Miss Sloane held at Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto, Canada.

FYI: Jessica is wearing a Givenchy dress paired with Piaget jewelry.
