VIDEO: Matthew McConaughey Tells Ellen He Had 'Fun' Gaining Weight For 'Gold'!

Matthew McConaughey had to gain a lot of weight for his upcoming film Gold, but he totally loved it!

“Cheeseburgers and beers for eight months whenever I wanted them. The only thing that makes you tired from over indulging is the thought of quitting. I never got tired, I slept great, I had great energy,” the 47-year-old actor expressed while making an appearance on The Ellen Show, airing today (December 14).

“My nickname in the house was caption fun,” Matthew added. “My wife [Camila Alves] misses all 217lbs of me and the kids do too. It was pizza night any night, any night was pizza night. It was fun.”

Matthew also talked about his animated film Sing, which he says is the first movie his kids have been able to watch in a long time.
