VIDEO: Lamar Odom Talks About Being In a 'Dark Place' Before Near Death Overdose

Lamar Odom is opening up publicly for the first time about his near-death overdose.

The 37-year-old former basketball player sat down for an interview with Dr. Travis Stork from The Doctors to talk about how he nearly died from a drug overdose last year.

In the interview, Lamar opens up about not remember the majority of the situation when he was in the hospital and having to hear what he was going through from ex wife Khloe Kardashian.

“I wasn’t in a good place mentally before that incident happened – my (ex) wife and I were going through some things. I was in a dark place but I guess they say everything happens for a reason. I guess the reason is I’m here so I can tell the story,” Lamar said.

Earlier this week, Lamar reportedly checked into rehab in order to “maintain his sobriety.”
