Candice Swanepoel Posts Breastfeeding Photo, Speaks Out In New Instagram Post

Candice Swanepoel just posted a breastfeeding photo on Instagram and shared a great message about feeding her young son Anacã, who was born in October.

“Many women today are shamed for breastfeeding in public, or even kicked out of public places for feeding their children. I have been made to feel the need to cover up and somewhat shy to feed my baby in public places but strangely feel nothing for the topless editorials I’ve done in the name of art..?” the 28-year-old Victoria’s Secret Angel posted on Instagram.

“The world has been desensitized to the sexualization of the breast and to violence on tv…why should it be different when it comes to breastfeeding? -Breastfeeding is not sexual it’s natural- Those who feel it is wrong to feed your child in public need to get educated on the benefits breastfeeding has on mother and child and intern on society as a whole,” she continued.

Other stars who have shared breastfeeding photos include Blake Lively, Liv Tyler, and Olivia Wilde.

It’s called having respect for those around you. YOU make think that it is the most natural thing in the world, but that 13 year old boy two tables away just sees a woman who bared her breast in public. You should have the right the breastfeed in public..but you should also have the courtesy to do so in a manner that does not offend or upset others.

Oh for goodness sakes. Who cares? Breast feeding is the most natural thing in the world. So what if the 13 year old sees a boob. Get real.

  • Mayra

Well, if that 13-year-old boy sees a woman breastfeeding, then it’s the perfect chance for his parents (or whoever he is with) to explain to him how natural and harmless this is, instead of getting offended and looking away. Really, there’s nothing to it. You just have to open your mind a little and simply accept it’s none of your business.

I just hate dumb hypocrite sexist Americans! They like breasts but at the same time they’re against breasts when they see breasts in public! Here we are at the end of 2016 and apparently female nipples are still taboo body parts in America! Why can’t women show their nipples? What is it about female nipples that make you uncomfortable? Equality is a double edged sword. You cannot choose when it’s okay only when it’s convenient for you and not okay the moment you feel uncomfortable about it! As a man who supports 100% about equality, I think women should be able to do what men do without being criticized or called names. And for most women out there,
nobody’s forcing you to show your nips if you don’t want to but for those who want to show
theirs, they should have the right to do so.

Do YOU take off your shirt and expose your chest in the middle of a restaurant? Shopping Center? Library? School? You talk about the rights of women who want to show their breasts and that they should be able to. That is what is wrong with folks like you. It is all about what YOU want. You have no care or concerns for those who think differently.

  • Cruizin1960

But those parents should not be forced into having that discussion. You have rights until they infringe on someone else’s. If someone is in public, it becomes other people’s business.
