'NCIS: Los Angeles' Actor Miguel Ferrer Dies at 61, Cousin George Clooney Reacts

Miguel Ferrer, best known for his roles on the shows NCIS: Los Angeles and Crossing Jordan, has passed away at the age of 61.

The actor died on Thursday (January 19) while surrounded by family and close friends following a battle with cancer.

Miguel‘s illness was incorporated into his role on NCIS as his cancer started to affect his voice. He has been on the show since 2012 and decided not to quit after his diagnosis. He will soon be seen in the revival of Twin Peaks as the same character he played on the original series, Albert Rosenfield.

George Clooney, one of Miguel‘s cousins, is mourning his death and has released a statement remembering his family member.

“Today history will mark giant changes in our world, and lost to most will be that on the same day Miguel Ferrer lost his battle to throat cancer,” George said (via THR). “But not lost to his family. Miguel made the world brighter and funnier and his passing is felt so deeply in our family that events of the day, (monumental events), pale in comparison. We love you Miguel. We always will.”

Why did George release that weird statement? Why does he release statements about everything? A simple “He was loved and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fans” would have sufficed. Why always talk about political stuff? Makes no sense. I think maybe George stopped being human long ago.

As usual, George runs his mouth when he shouldn’t. Less is more.

Wow, that’s sad. Too young to die.
