VIDEO: Ben Affleck Shares That Casey Got the Role 'Manchester by the Sea' After Matt Damon Passed On It

Ben Affleck is sharing some details on his production company with pal Matt Damon!

While being interviewed by ABC‘s Popcorn with Peter Travers, the 44-year-old actor and director shared some information about his production company’s – Pearl Street Films – connection with Manchester by the Sea.

Ben shared that Pearl Street Films helps give Matt and himself the opportunity to create their own work and stories, when they might not be getting work and parts from other production companies.

Ben also shared that Matt was originally supposed to star in the film, but had to pass on the role due to scheduling conflicts.

The role ended up going to Ben‘s younger brother Casey – who is now nominated for an Oscar for his performance in the film!
