Beyonce Comments on the Unrest in Baltimore

Beyonce is speaking out to voice her support for the NAACP in hopes of helping those affected by the unrest in Baltimore this week.

There has been violence around the city ever since a 25-year-old African American man named Freddie Gray died on April 19 due to spinal cord injuries after being taken into custody by the Baltimore Police Department. There was a major protest in Baltimore on April 25 and 15 police officers were injured along with 34 people arrested.

“People are hurting,” Beyonce wrote on Instagram. “Join us in supporting the NAACP to help in the cleanup efforts and to provide housing, food and supplies to those affected by the unrest in Baltimore.”
