Kendall Jenner's Controversial Pepsi Commercial Gets Pulled

Pepsi has pulled it’s controversial commercial starring Kendall Jenner following criticism of the ad.

The video has been removed from YouTube and will not be shared on any further platforms.

Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologize,” the brand reportedly said in a statement.

They continued, “We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position.”

In the commercial, Kendall ditches her photo shoot to join a protest march where she grabs a can of soda then hands it to a police officer as the crowd erupts in cheers.

Pepsi was accused of appropriating the resistance movement for commercialized purposes.

Pepsi should have use the story of when the cops where called because kids were in the street playing basketball. The police came but instead of hassling the kids he started playing with them. Pepsi should have had a commercial where the police officer brought a case of Pepsi and gave it to the kids.

BTW I would love for there to be a study if using the Kardashian to promote anything outside their social media sites works. IMO it doesn’t.
