Chris Evans Opens Up About His Twitter War With David Duke: 'I Have A Right To Express My Opinion'
Chris Evans has opened up about being vocal about his political opinions after getting into a heated Twitter argument with former KKK leader David Duke back in February.
“It’s tricky sometimes because actors in general have a hard time, it’s tricky because no one wants to hear from you,” the 35-year-old Gifted star expressed while making an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday (April 6) in New York City.

“It’s easy to think we’re out of touch and elite, which is potentially true, but look I was a human being a lot longer. I was a citizen before I was an actor,” Chris continued to tell Seth. “I spent a lot of time being not famous and I don’t know, I still feel like I have a right to express my opinion. You just have to take into consideration how people are going to receive it. If you’re not aware of that you may not land, you have to acknowledge the fact that they’re not wrong. I don’t live the same life that certain people do and you gotta acknowledge that, but that doesn’t mean I don’t get a chance to express what I think too.”
