'Boss Baby' Beats 'The Smurfs' For No. 1 Box Office Spot

Boss Baby once topped the weekend box office with a whopping $26.3 million!

According to THR, the Alec Baldwin animated flick continued to impress and now boasts a domestic total of $89.4 million.

Coming in at No. 2 was Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, which brought in an additional $25 million for a total of $432.3 million in the U.S. and nearing the $1 billion mark globally.

Taking the third spot was the Joe Manganiello and Demi Lovato-voiced flick Smurfs: The Lost Village, which opened to $14 million.

Rounding out the top five were Zach Braff‘s new film Going in Style, and Ghost in the Shell, which earned $12.5 million and $7.3 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, at the specialty box office, Jessica Chastain‘s The Zookeeper’s Wife expanded into 804 theaters and grossed $2.9 million.

Anne Hathaway‘s Colossal opened in four theaters in New York and Los Angeles for an estimated $130,000.

Gifted, starring Chris Evans, Mckenna Grace, and Octavia Spencer, debuted in 56 locations to $476,000.

Finally, Their Finest, starring Gemma Arterton and Sam Claflin, debuted to $77,000 from four theaters in Los Angeles and New York.
