Former NFL Player Todd Heap Accidentally Hits & Kills Daughter with Truck

Todd Heap, a former NFL player, accidentally hit and killed his three-year-old daughter with his truck while moving the vehicle in the driveway of his home.

The incident happened on Friday (April 14) at the 37-year-old former football star’s home in Mesa, Ariz. just before 4pm.

The girl was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

Police say that Todd was checked and there were no signs that he was impaired, nor any signs of suspicious circumstances, according to Fox 10 Phoenix.

Heap played for 10 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before wrapping up his career with his hometown team, the Arizona Cardinals, for two seasons. He retired in 2012. His late daughter was the youngest of his five children with wife Ashley.
