Stephen Amell's Wife Cassandra Totally Changed His Opinion of Coachella!

Stephen Amell used to be a Coachella hater but his wife Cassandra totally changed his opinion!

The 35-year-old actor took to his Instagram to explain that he always poked fun at the festival that Cassandra loved.

“Ever since we met in late 2011, my Wife has raved – no pun intended – about Coachella. I decided – in a semi joking way – that I was going to hate it for no reason whatsoever. And I’d poke fun at her when the set list was released and she’d get excited,” he began.

Stephen went on to explain that while Cassandra continued to go to the festival, he stayed home, until he realized that’s not what a marriage means.

He continued, “Then last year during Coachella, something felt different. She was at our house, with our friends, doing something she loves…without me. That’s not how a marriage / friendship / partnership should work. If your Wife (or whatever) loves something, you should love it too.”

“So I did something every spouse should learn to do: I admitted I was wrong and apologized in a very concise sentence with zero uses of the word “but”, then asked to go. And we went. We did everything she wanted to do and I got to share an experience that brought us closer together because doing something your partner loves always helps you understand them better. What a weekend. Until next year.”

That was kinda an overshare – half of that post made him sound like a total a-hole. Glad Coachella was able to smooth over that rift in their marriage.

Sad they abandoned their daughter to spend time partying… Terrible parents. The lot of them

I wonder how much Stephen is involved with Jared as he’s the only one that ever reports on him and his irrelevant significant other. That long post was actually quite hypocritical and made him sound like a 5 year old who just got married. Like who in their right mind believes they have to love everything their spouse does? You don’t have to do that. Also who leaves their daughter at home on her favorite holiday to go drink at a festival even though they complain about how much they miss her constantly? And does his spouse do things he likes? Like support his show? Or live in the same country as him? So that he can see his daughter in person more often than just weekends? Who refers to having a baby with their spouse as knocking them up? Really? Dude is so inauthentic.

This was weird. I would have been more impressed if they stayed home with their daughter.

What a bizarre post. On the one hand, he made himself sound like a prize asshole who took the mick for years about something his wife liked just to be stubborn and contrary, then the phrase ‘knocked her up’ which lacks a certain respect for the mother of his child, followed by completely over the top ‘fangirling’ over the event itself and trying to shoehorn some poor marital advice in on top. Yikes! No, you do not have to love everything your partner does, that’s ridiculous. It was a couple of days at a music festival, not a spiritual relationship event. Considering how frequently he complains about being away from his wife and kid – for no discernible reason, perhaps they might want to focus on actually spending more than weekends together, rather than trying to extrapolate meaningful relationship insights out of a couple of nights getting drunk at a festival.
