Olympian Germaine Mason Killed During Motorcycle Ride with Usain Bolt
Germaine Mason, an Olympic high jump silver medalist, was killed during a motorcycle convoy with many other famous athletes. He was 34.
The athlete was driving along the Palisadoes, a stretch in Jamaica, when he lost control of his bike. Eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, 100-meter silver medalist Michael Frater and retired Jamaican footballer Ricardo Gardner were also reportedly driving in the convoy, People reports.
“Germaine Mason, 34, Jamaican-born athlete and former national high jumper, died in a motorcycle crash this morning,” the Jamaica Constabulary tweeted.
