'American Idol' In Talks With ABC For Reboot

American Idol is now in talks with ABC for its highly anticipated reboot!

According to TMZ, ABC is said to have placed a bid for the program, aiming for a March 2018 premiere.

Additionally, ABC inquired about bringing back Ryan Seacrest as the host and moving the show to New York City to accommodate his new Live! hosting gig.

Although it doesn’t look like moving the show to NYC with Ryan will be possible, American Idol‘s production company Fremantle is going to co-owner CORE with the offer.

Earlier this year, the reality show was reportedly in talks to revive the show on NBC or FOX but negotiations were halted due to a conflict between Fremantle and CORE.
