Chris Rock Speaks Candidly About Cheating, His Divorce & More

Chris Rock takes the cover of Rolling Stone‘s latest issue.

Here’s what the 52-year-old actor and comedian share with the mag:

During a comedy show, he spoke about his failed marriage, saying, “I was a piece of sh**,” and speaking about women he cheated with: “one famous, one semifamous, and one a member of the retail class.” Chris and his wife Malaak were married for 20 years.

On if he would get married again: “Would I ever get married again? Not if it would cure AIDS.”

On how his divorce effects others: “My faults are magnified. Your significant other, if they really love you, has a high opinion of you. And you let them down….I have a mic, she doesn’t. God forbid people are bugging her in the supermarket. That’s not cool. I’m going to have to see her at weddings and graduations… Getting divorced, you have to f**king start over. You get to reset. It’s not a breakdown, but something in your life broke down.”

Yet all these Hollywood elite call POTUS misogynistic and here you have this one almost gloating about cheating on his wife. Where’s the feminists of Hollywood they don’t find this misogynistic? and insulting to his wife!?

the behavior itself is misogynistic and insulting to his wife, sure, but owning up to it and admitting fault redeems him somewhat (and certainly puts him lightyears ahead of our president). airing their business might be kind of tasteless but after everything they’ve been through we can only assume he wouldn’t talk about it if she wasn’t okay with it. all that said, he is a stand-up comedian (the lowest of lowlifes, if we’re speaking generally) and the attitudes/behavior we expect from him – especially during his act – are naturally a little different than the standards we have for our governing officials. what I find most interesting though is that trump apologists only seem to care about injustices towards women when they’re pointing out perceived liberal hypocrisy – never in situations where we actually need your sympathy and support. it’s this playground mentality of “they do it so why can’t I do it too?” instead of a genuine concern for women and it’s worse than anything chris rock is quoted as saying here. maybe ruminate on that before posting any more comments like this, because you’re not fooling anyone with your faux concern for malaak compton here.
