Wendy's Nuggets Boy Beats Ellen for Most Retweets Ever

Carter Wilkerson, the kid who asked the world to retweet him on his quest to get free Wendy’s nuggets for a year, officially has the most retweeted tweet of all time!

The 16-year-old high school student from Nevada asked the fast food chain how many retweets his tweet would need to get in order to have free nuggets for a year. They told him 18 million.

When Ellen DeGeneres caught wind of his campaign, she brought Carter onto her show and tasked him with having people retweet her Oscars selfie tweet along with his nuggets tweet, so that she could retain her status of having the most retweeted tweet.

Well, now Carter has topped Ellen‘s tweet with over 3.45 million retweets!

Wendy’s has announced that Carter will get free chicken nuggets for a year even though he didn’t reach the 18 million mark. The company is also donating $100,000 to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in honor of the milestone.
