'OITNB' Actress Jamie Denbo Speaks Out After Being Told She Was Too Old For a Role

Orange Is The New Black actress Jamie Denbo is opening up about being told she was too old for a role.

The 43-year-old actress revealed that she was recently told she was too old to portray the wife of an 57-year-old male actor.

Jamie took to her Twitter to speak out on the unfair standards for women in Hollywood.

“I was just informed that at the age of 43, I am TOO OLD to play the wife of a 57 year old,” she began.

Jamie continued, “Oh, the characters also have an 18 year-old daughter. I am TOO OLD to be the mother of an 18 year-old. The real wife of the 57 year-old actor is EASILY AT LEAST 50. But this f**ker wants to be tv married to a 38 year-old -TOPS.”
