Naomi Watts Helps Honor Coaches At Up2Us Sports Gala!

Naomi Watts is all smiles as she hits the red carpet at the 2017 Up2Us Sports Gala held at Guastavino’s on Monday (May 15) in New York City.

“Oh yeah, I was very sporty as a kid,” the 48-year-old actress expressed at the gala (via Vogue) honoring Delmy Del Cid, coach of the South Bronx United team; Cara Morey, associate head coach of Princeton’s women’s ice hockey team; Mollie Marcoux Samaan, the Ford Family director of athletics at Princeton University; and Angela Ruggiero, a four-time Olympic ice hockey medalist.

“I did a sport called netball and field hockey,” Naomi added. “A little bit of a lot of different things. My own father was a coach, so when I met [Up2Us Sports founder] Paul Caccamo, there was a little bit of a crossover.”‘

Naomi was joined at the event by one of the evening’s hosts, Dr. David Colbert, Famke Janssen, Gretchen Mol and Michele Hicks.
