Prince William Pays Tribute to Mom Princess Diana at Diana Legacy Awards

Prince William speaks on stage during the Diana Legacy Awards on Thursday (May 18) at St. James’ Palace in London, England.

The 34-year-old Duke of Cambridge was joined by his younger brother Prince Harry as they attend the event that was established to promote their mother Princess Diana‘s belief in the positive power of young people.

During the event, Prince William paid tribute to Princess Diana who died tragically in a car accident almost 20 years ago.

“Of course we can never know what our mother would have gone on to do, but in one sense Harry and I feel that our mother lives on in the countless acts of compassion and bravery that she inspires in others,” Prince William said. “That is why we are so pleased that her name is being put to good use by the Diana Award to recognize young people who are making a mark in the world around them.”
