Jennifer Lopez's 'Bye Bye Birdie' Live Musical Pushed to 2018

Jennifer Lopez‘s live musical with NBC, Bye Bye Birdie, has been pushed to 2018, Just Jared can confirm.

The reason for the delay is being cited as Jennifer‘s very busy schedule, which includes judging the upcoming World of Dance, which she’s also executive producing, as well as her TV show Shades of Blue. NBC also noted they’re still very excited about the production!

JLo‘s Bye Bye Birdie was intended to air on NBC in December as their annual live musical around the holidays. However, it will now air next year. Jennifer will play the leading role of Rosie in the live event.

Jesus Christ Superstar Live was also announced as an NBC live musical for Easter Sunday on NBC in 2018.
