They trademarked the names? This is a new level of absurdity. I mean how are they gonna find out if someone names their child “Sir” or “Rumi”? Will those people have to pay a fine?

  • Danae

I bet that Beyonce is going to justify the choice of ‘Rumi’ with some spiritual BS regarding the pieces of a poet named the same way.
And also, if she wants to charge every person who names their child Rumi, she should start giving up her music career ASAP.

Okay, Rumi I get, but Sir? WTF? And the trademarking is for use on products and branding, it’s not going to stop someone calling their kid Sir, like anyone would

  • totalobvi

I don’t know why people people freak out when celebrities trademark things. It is not the same as a copyright. They aren’t saying anyone can’t name their children Sir or Rumi, or anything crazy. They are just trademarking it so people can’t sell things with their child’s name or image, which honestly given who they are makes sense.

  • Jojo

Who is the boy and who is the girl ? Rumi is a male name, no ?

  • Madsxx

    Obnoxious as usual.

  • VanityInsecurity

    lmaooo at these names!!!

  • person

SIR?!!!!!! That is even worse than blue. And Rumi?! for a girl? how random and pretentious

  • SquidBillie

Especially pretentious to be trademarking both names. They tried the same thing with Blue Ivy and failed…too bad.

they can all share a prison cell at Rikers Island
