Charlize Theron Talks About Gender Pay Gap at Comic-Con
Charlize Theron is a kick-ass woman so it’s no surprise that she spoke on Entertainment Weekly’s Women Who Kick Ass: Icon edition panel during 2017 Comic-Con!
The 41-year-old actress opened up about her movie Atomic Blonde, the gender pay gap, and more at the panel on Saturday (July 22) in San Diego, Calif.
Charlize says she is glad there are “movies like Wonder Woman succeeding” because it “takes the option away from studios” to not pay actors equally. She says unequal pay was not an option for Universal on her movie The Huntsman: Winters War, which featured fierce women like Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt.
“We’re just as good as the guys!” Charlize said at the end of the panel (via EW).
