Celebrities React to Donald Trump's Ban on Transgender Individuals in the Military
Celebrities are taking to Twitter this morning to react to the series of tweets Donald Trump sent out, banning transgender individuals from serving in the United States military.
“Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you,” the 71-year-old President tweeted to his millions of followers earlier today.
Now, celebrities are taking to social media to share how unacceptable this policy is.
Are you TRYING to be an asshole? https://t.co/QW9axAScmO

Banning transgender people from serving our country is simply wrong. We should be so grateful to anybody who wants to serve, not ban them!

I just want to tell the transgender community that I love you and you ARE supported no matter what. #ProtectTransTroops

We should be grateful to the people who wish to serve, not turn our backs on them. Banning transgender people is hurtful, baseless and wrong

Hey trans teens: this man does not represent the overwhelming love, support and pride waiting for you when you step out into the world.

There isn't a more harmful, knife-like word than "burden" to describe LGBTQI people. Cant stop crying. What a horrible thing.

Anyone who is able, willing, and qualified to serve in the military should be allowed to serve. Period.

THIS makes me sick to my stomach! Trans beauties, you are not a burden. For those already in the military, thank you for your service. ” pic.twitter.com/CEJfbVs3l8
