Nicole Kidman Says It Was 'Hard' To Come Home After Tough 'Big Little Lies' Scenes

Reese Witherspoon strikes a pose alongside her co-star Nicole Kidman while attending their For Your Consideration panel for their hit HBO series Big Little Lies held at the DGA Theater on Tuesday (July 25) in Los Angeles.

The 41-year-old actress and Nicole, 50, were joined at the event by their co-star Alex Skarsgard and director Jean-Marc Vallee.

Nicole opened up about shooting some of the emotionally draining scenes in Big Little Lies, and how she relied on the support of her husband, Keith Urban, after long filming days.

“Because we were shooting for so long… I think the duration of [the production] slowly started to seep in. Normally I can step back into my family life in a very easy way. I mean, not always, but you know, usually. I’ve been working a long time now,” Nicole expressed at the event (via ET). “But it was hard. I came home to loving arms. Luckily I have a partner who is artistic so he understands what it takes to support that. [He] would hold me, and I was really upset at times. Really damaged and really upset and physically and emotionally drained and in pain… Luckily I have that at home and I also have people I can talk to and get it out.”
