Serinda Swan Responds to Medusa Wig Criticism at 'Inhumans' TCA Panel

The cast of Marvel’s Inhumans take the stage at the 2017 Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour held at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday (August 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

In attendance at the panel were stars Serinda Swan, Ellen Woglom, Anson Mount, and Iwan Rheon, as well as executive producers Scott Buck and Jeph Loeb.

At the panel, Serinda, who plays Medusa in the show, defended the wig that she wore in the first previews, which received a lot of criticism.

“It’s never been done before,” she said, via The Wrap. “So there’s going to be issues and there’s going to be trials and tribulations. The CGI … there was software that had to be built for it.”

“If we only did things that were perfect, we would never start. And so it’s a really phenomenal start,” she continued. “This is still a work in progress… We’re coming down to the wire on some of the special effects.”

I feel sorry for Iwan Rheon. He’s such a great actor and Marvel is such a huge fish to catch, yet this series looks absolutely HORRIBLE. My god. I watched two different trailers of it, and both looked horrible. I’ll give it a chance none the less, but I think this will be Marvel’s big flop. Hopefully it’ll pick up like how Agents of Shield did. Fingers crossed.

how is what is said anything to do with a wig? a wig isn’t special effects or CGI. Nor does it requrie the creation of a computer program. sounds more like defence of the shitty CGI rather than the even shittier wig

Give it a chance. It could be great Special FX are nothing. It is the story that counts. Many great films have average special FX,

honestly, given how ridiculously fast stuff is cancelled now (after one or two episodes which is ludicrous) it probably won’t get the chance. the trailer looks awful. they were talking about how they’d love to have both it and AoS on at the same time etc, and I genuinely don’t think that’ll be an issue. I’d rather have had a third season of Agent Carter
