Here's How 'Bachelor in Paradise' Shutdown Played Out on Air
Spoilers from last night’s Bachelor in Paradise premiere ahead!
Last night, the first episode of Bachelor in Paradise‘s new season aired, and it addressed what happened leading up to the shutdown in production over a hookup between DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios. The hookup lead to allegations of sexual assault.
The hookup was never actually seen, and not much was made of the fact that Corinne and DeMario spent the first evening together.
Later in the show, just before the first rose ceremony, the cast was seen chilling around the beach. All of a sudden a producer called Corinne over and she said, “What’s up?” and replied, “I don’t know.” DeMario was also approached by a producer and taken away.
At this point, the cast seemed very confused and someone asked “Where is Corinne?”
Then, the cast noticed that filming had stopped.
“Everyone’s very confused right now,” Danielle said. “It’s kind of like a chill all over paradise. We’re all just looking at each other like, ‘What the f–k is happening?’”
Taylor could be heard speculating, “Corinne and DeMario from the first night.”
The episode ended in a cliffhanger and there’s another new episode tonight on ABC, which will presumably reveal more information.
