Mark Salling's Death Confirmed By Lawyer (Statement)
Mark Salling‘s lawyer has confirmed the actor passed away on Tuesday (January 30) after reports spread that he committed suicide.
“I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning,” Michael J. Proctor, the 35-year-old actor’s lawyer, said in a statement (via EW). “Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.”
Last month, Salling had plead guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor. He was awaiting sentencing. Photos were allegedly found on his computer, and he was expected to get somewhere between four and seven years in prison for the crime as part of a plea deal.
Mark was last seen out back in December.
