Robert Wagner Named Person of Interest in Natalie Wood's Death

Los Angeles County Sheriff investigators have named Natalie Wood‘s husband, Robert Wagner, a person of interest in her mysterious death almost 40 years ago.

“As we’ve investigated the case over the last six years, I think he’s more of a person of interest now,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant John Corina said in an episode of 48 Hours, which will air this week. “I mean, we know now that he was the last person to be with Natalie before she disappeared.”

Natalie died in 1981 under suspicious circumstances. She was on her family’s yacht off of Catalina Island in California with her then-husband, actor Christopher Walken and Captain Dennis Davern. She was found dead in the water at age 43, but at the time, her death was ruled an accident.

Back in 2011, the case was reopened.
