Ellen DeGeneres Gives $1 Million to Her Audience to Split!

Ellen DeGeneres is continuing celebrations for her 60th birthday by giving away the biggest prize ever on her show!

The talk show host partnered with Cheerios to surprise an entire audience of people who participated in the “One Million Acts of Good” campaign. She revealed that the entire audience would split $1 million.

“Thanks to every single person in this audience, it is filled with goodness and we have reached one million acts of good because of all of you. So, I wanna do something that we’ve never done before,” Ellen said. “Hold onto your Cheerios because all of you are splitting one million dollars! That’s a lot of money!”

Among the people in the audience were a teacher who donated a kidney to a student’s mom, a couple who drive 800 miles to deliver supplies during Hurricane Harvey, and a man who quit his job to start a sanctuary for farm animals. Very deserving people!

Ellen‘s audience holds about 400 people, so that means each person went home with about $2,500, if that number is accurate.
