Uma Thurman Details Harvey Weinstein's Alleged Attack on Her

Uma Thurman is ready to share her experience of allegedly being sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein.

The actress gave a powerful response to the Me Too movement back in November when asked to comment on the allegations building against Weinstein. She said at the time, “I’ve been waiting to feel less angry. And when I’m ready, I’ll say what I have to say.”

Now, Uma is speaking out in an interview with The New York Times, in which she details how Weinstein allegedly attacked her in a hotel room. She says she already knew him well at the time as it was after he released her movie Pulp Fiction.

Uma says that in a Paris hotel room, Harvey got into his bathrobe and led her to a steam room, but that when she told him “this is ridiculous,” he got flustered and jumped out. She says he later attacked her in a hotel room in London.

“It was such a bat to the head. He pushed me down. He tried to shove himself on me. He tried to expose himself. He did all kinds of unpleasant things,” she said. “But he didn’t actually put his back into it and force me. You’re like an animal wriggling away, like a lizard. I was doing anything I could to get the train back on the track. My track. Not his track.”

Uma warned Harvey the next day, “If you do what you did to me to other people you will lose your career, your reputation and your family, I promise you.”

Harvey responded to the allegations through his rep and acknowledged her account. “Mr. Weinstein acknowledges making a pass at Ms. Thurman in England after misreading her signals in Paris. He immediately apologized.” He also claims that they had “a flirtatious and fun working relationship” until the incident in the Paris steam room.

Uma explained why she is speaking out now.

“The complicated feeling I have about Harvey is how bad I feel about all the women that were attacked after I was,” she said. “I am one of the reasons that a young girl would walk into his room alone, the way I did. Quentin used Harvey as the executive producer of Kill Bill, a movie that symbolizes female empowerment. And all these lambs walked into slaughter because they were convinced nobody rises to such a position who would do something illegal to you, but they do.”

When is this scumbag, soul murderer going to prison? I’m surprised no one has beaten the shit out of him yet. But I guess a man would have to do that and most men are creeps with mother issues.

I have no word to describe this individual. The earth needs to be cleanse of him and people like him.

Only one close female friend of Harvey’s not opening her mouth. She’s either extremely loyal or he has the ‘goods’ on her.

    Sienna Miller?

so, what exactly did she do to stop him from attacking others? another loser coming forward. yeah, he did it, but you all allowed him.

  • Sansa Squad

She literally acknowledges that in the statement. Did you read the post before you commented on it or are you just here to blame a victim for the actions of her abuser?

That has to be Meryl Streep.

Fucking monster. He made a “pass” at her?! More like an aggressive assault. Uma is one strong, fierce woman and I’m so happy she’s comfortable enough to speak out.

So he was creepy in one hotel room meeting and she still chose to go meet him in another hotel room on a different day? Why? Why wouldn’t she bring someone with her like an agent, publicist, etc. or refuse to meet him in a hotel room? These stories are getting to be too much.

Go read the exposés that detail how he meticulously and systematically shut down these seemingly easy “fixes” – it’s so much more complicated than that…

  • GroundControl500

No it really isn’t “much more complicated than that.” Either you value yourself above your career or you don’t.

  • GroundControl500

It’s a comment on her lack of action – it isn’t about blaming the victim. No one blames her for Weinstein’s actions. They may blame her for HER behavior in response. If you’re going to be public about these things then you have no right trying to shut down opinions about your choice of actions/reactions.

  • GroundControl500

There has to be a charge of illegal conduct that appears prosecutable. So far nothing. But I think some offices are still looking into it like LA, London and maybe NYC.
