Blu-Ray and Digital HD Releases

Wonder

The family film Wonder comes out on Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital today. Starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, and the young Jacob Tremblay, this film follows the story of a young boy with facial differences as he enters a “regular” elementary school for the first time.

Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, the film delivers a poignant message that is so essential in the world today.

Dealing with bullying, feeling alone, and being proud of who you are, the film follows the Pullman family sharing their story through the perspective of each family member.

Jacob Tremblay, playing Auggie, is adorable and really does a great job pulling at the heartstrings through his acting. Though the film can feel predictable (afterall, this is a family friendly film), it’s a refreshing reminder of how elementary school was like and easily gives you a trip down memory lane.

The film is presented in AVC encoded 1080p with Dolby TrueHD 7.1 mix. Though the film doesn’t present many opportunities to really exhibit the technical presentation, everything is crisp and sounds great.

Extras include a multi-part documentary about the making of the film, a featurette on location scouting, and a spotlight on the younger members of the cast.

Overall, if you’re looking for a feel good movie with a sweet reminder of what brings family together, Wonder is highly recommended.
