It’s time to get to know Chinese actress and Michael Kors Global Brand Ambassador Yang Mi!

The 31-year-old talent was named the Global Brand Ambassador for Michael Kors back in September and she ranks third on Forbes‘ China Celebrity 100 list. She was even Michael Kors‘ special guest at the 2017 Met Gala!

1. My family and I spend Chinese New Year together, eating delicious food and a lot of it haha. This is the time of year for dumplings, and I love mine stuffed with
pork, cabbage or celery.
2. Our family tradition on the Eve of Chinese New Year is to watch TV together
and exchange gifts. It’s nice to relax before getting back on-set to film!
3. If we can stay awake, we will also light up fireworks on Chinese New Year Eve, at
midnight! Then we will run back home to eat some dumplings. If I can stay awake, I will make the dumplings from scratch!
4. My favorite tradition is on the 5 th day of the 1 st month of the Lunar New Year, it’s the time to welcome the Gods’ wealth to our home. We will set off many firecrackers to bless us a year of fortune!
5. My most unforgettable experience in 2017, was attending the Met Gala for the
first time, with Michael [Kors].

6. The last time I caught up with Michael, we discussed travel and all things “jet set”, but also how much we hate jet lag.
7. My must-have travel essentials are face masks and power banks!
8. Some fans may not know that I studied painting when I was young. These days I don’t get much time to draw, but I will sometimes share some little works with my
fans on Weibo (weibo.com/YangMiBlog).
9. Another secret talent is I can play the “Gu Zheng”, a Chinese string instrument. I have to admit, I don’t play very well, but wish I could play another instrument one day.
10. I also have pet cat, “Cang”. Cang is soooo cute, has too much energy, and loves to steal from our trash cans.
