Amy Poehler Speaks Out in Support of Tipped Workers at One Fair Wage Event!
Amy Poehler is using her platform, and her experience, to speak out on behalf of tipped workers!
The 46-year-old Parks & Recreation star joined supporters and spoke out at a One Fair Wage event at The Rockefeller Foundation on Fifth Avenue on Tuesday (February 20) in New York City.

“Let’s just stop under-serving the many people who serve us,” she said.
“It was my main means of income for over 10 years. I was a white woman who had certain privileges allowed to me and I worked with very reasonable restaurant owners. But I did, like every woman in this room, deal with incredible amounts of harassment from customers and co-workers. It was a very routine way of life.”
She urged Governor Andrew Cuomo to raise the minimum wage for tipped workers, which is currently between $7.50 and $8.65.
