Reese Witherspoon Encourages Fans to Elect More Women to Office
Reese Witherspoon sits on stage for an interview during the 2018 Watermark Conference for Women on Friday (February 23) at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
The 41-year-old Oscar-winning actress opened up about the #MeToo movement during her keynote speech and she encouraged fans to elect more women to office.
“We have to share and protect each other from unsafe work environments. It’s imperative that we aren’t silent with our sisters,” she said. “We’re chopping away at this problem by coming at it the way we know how. But we cannot continue to exist in an environment where we’re not represented. We will never have our rights if we do not elect more women.”
