Ryan Seacrest's Ex-Stylist Details Her Abuse Allegations, His Lawyer Responds to New Story

Ryan Seacrest was accused of sexual misconduct by a former stylist back in November and now the woman, Suzie Hardy, has come forward with detailed allegations against the entertainer.

Hardy says that she was subjected to years of “unwanted sexual aggression” from Ryan, who she says had a crush on her.

Among the claims are that he “grinded his erect penis against her while clad only in his underwear, groped her vagina, and at one point slapped her buttock so hard that it left a large welt still visible hours later,” she told Variety.

Ryan went public with the allegation in November and denied the “reckless allegations.” E! launched an investigation into the matter and the network concluded three months later that there was “insufficient evidence to support the claims.”

Now, Ryan‘s lawyer is responding to the new story with the claims.

“It is upsetting to us that Variety is electing to run a ‘story’ about untrue allegations that were made against my client, after they were told that the accuser threatened to make those false claims against him unless he paid her $15 million. At that time, the claimant threatened to issue a demonstrably false press statement unless she was paid. Instead, my client proactively and publicly denied the claims and agreed to fully cooperate with E!’s investigation about the matter,” attorney Andrew Baum said in a statement to Variety.

Baum continued, “On January 31st the network notified us that their independent third-party investigation had concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support her claims, effectively, clearing my client’s name. It’s telling that after my client refused to pay her money, and the E! investigation resulted as it did, that she is now coming forward to share her debunked story to the press.”

Variety says that no evidence was presented to them of a monetary request being made by Hardy and her reps deny she ever asked for money.

If there were any laws in America this extorting bitch would go to prison.

I heard today that these accusations were handled through attorneys from day 1 and that this woman never asked for a dime and she complained to HR in the past. I’m beginning to believe that Seacrest was intentionally trying to sideline this woman’s accusations by “saying” she demanded money. Seacrest has a lot of power and if after E! cleared him, I’m wondering why charges weren’t brought against this woman if she did indeed attempt extortion and at that point sued for slanderous statements. Fishy.
Today, the Vanity Fair article and a couple “witnesses” spoke out against Seacrest. I don’t think this is going away and it’s gonna get messy. There is SO MUCH at stake here, most of all w IDOL. Imagine the squirming going on right now. This could sink IDOL same goes for LIVE. I’ve always liked Seacrest, but as we’ve all seen, the most unexpected people have dark sides. I’m seriously believing there is truth to the accusations and I am believing that the extortion accusation Seacrest preemptively put out there was a ploy and subtle intimidation against his accuser. Again, he has a lot of powerful backers because THEY have a lot invested in Seacrest. Who knows, maybe Seacrest offered hush money before this woman spoke out and then he flipped the script saying she demanded momey for silence.

IDK what he is lol, but I’m beginning to think he’s a perv who has been hiding behind his squeaky clean image. Look at all the relationships he’s been in and they never last. George Clooney he is not.

Proving abuse that wasn’t recorded can be difficult. It’s also difficult to prove that the accuser doesn’t believe it really happened. They usually only go after those for knowingly giving false accusations.
I don’t feel I know enough about this particular case and the individuals involved to be on one side or the other. I do hope the truth, whatever it is, does come out.

I completely agree with you but I truly believe that since most of us do have a favorable opinion of Ryan, we don’t want to consider that this girl’s accusations can be true. The fact that she is not backing down and saying via her attorney that witnesses were not interviewed and money was not demanded and it was Ryan who made this public (everything was being handled by attorneys privately) AND an investigation was done by E (based on her complaint) I feel Ryan making this public is a red flag. But like you stated, we don’t know everything, particularly the timeline. Are we supposed to believe the girl demanded money and then filed a complaint and hired an attorney? That doesn’t make sense to me and there is no way any attorney is going to ask for monetary damages after a workplace investigation sites insufficient evidence. That’s a neutral zone. Ryan is doing what Michael Douglas did recently when he made a public statement about a woman accusing him of harassment. He beat her to the punch which always gives the “accused” an advantage and sways public perception which is the goal. Seacrest keeps saying he was vindicated by Es investigation, again swaying opinion. He was not vindicated, there was just not evidence to prove he was innocent or guilty. I don’t want to believe this of Ryan, but it seems the public is now picking and choosing who to believe and not to believe based on the accused person’s public persona. As we know, many abusers hide behind their favorable personas. If this girl is lying her life is wrecked, that’s why I’m inclined to think there may be some truth to this because she doesn’t seem to be backing down and certainly Seacrest thought she would after he made this public.

You are forgetting that a third party investigated these claims and didn’t find evidence. They interviewed other employees there. Where were those witnesses if not at work? E! wouldn’t dare to bribe those investigators, that would be way too dangerous and could ruin them.

  • Midnight

Yes. You are right about bribery. However, if someone at E maybe saw something they could be reluctant to speak out. If E has a scandal, their job could be in jeopardy and who would speak against Seacrest? He has a lot Of clout. The accuser filed a complaint w HR IN 2010 and was “let go” 2 weeks later. Unfortunately as we know, that’s the culture in Hollywood. There were apparently a few employees who have since moved on from E who were never interviewed and they were the witnesses the accuser listed for interviews. One spoke out today or yesterday. I just feel like everyone is against this girl because of Ryan’s public persona, both as very likable and others believing he is gay, so this would be impossible. If this girl is lying, she is despicable and doing a disservice to women who are in fact victims and taking the power away from women in general. I just feel like people are picking and choosing who to believe based on “likability”. Of course we all despised Weinstein immediately not only because multiple women spoke out, but because of his gross appearance. I just hope the truth comes out. Obviously, my opinion isn’t fact based, I only know what I read (who knows what is true!) but I still feel like Seacrest is acting textbook suspicious and because a couple of things he said were proven to be false, I’m feeling more inclined to believe there could be some truth to the accusations.

If her contract was wrongly terminated then she should have sued E! and Seacrest but she didn’t in these last 8 years and she is still not suing anyone. She went straight to the media. People do that when they don’t have a legal case and they don’t have a case because they don’t have evidence. Word against a word is not enough in court. Office hearsay is also not enough. We can’t know the truth. The problem is that he will pay for this no matter whether he’s guilty or innocent and that is unacceptable in democratic societies. No evidence doesn’t mean that a person is innocent but we agreed as a society that people will be treated as innocent unless they are found guilty. Yet his career is already in limbo. People have every right to switch a TV channel when they see him if they believe to this woman but they are asking for his head.
