I don’t get how a Norwegian fairy tale can have a black cast… that’s just as stupid as a white aladin, a native american mulan or a black snow white.

  • Jay Last

Simple: the people of Norway are more open and welcoming to others than you are.

  • Max

What does it have to do with being welcoming? I have a mexican boyfriend i teach refugee kids at school. I didnt vote for trump. But i have a problem with surreal casting choices when the storyline needs a certain ethnicy to make sense.

  • Max

Plus: how can you tak about the feelings of the people of norway when these casting decisions were made in the US by Americans. What does it have to do with the people of Norway in the first place?

  • Jay Last

It’s a fictional story Einstein. It’s not a documentary. They’re not making Christopher Columbus Asian, they’re taking a fictional story with fictional characters and casting it for a fun show. Geesh find something else to worry about.

  • Kevin

Make sense? You know it’s about magic, right? It’s not a realistic historical drama about Norway. It’s a fantasy musical about a fictional kingdom loosely inspired by Norway. The fact that you are hung up on the race of the actors says a lot about you.
