The day is here and the 2018 Academy Awards will air live later tonight and we’re rounding up everything you need to know before the show!
How to Watch? When Does the Show Start?
The actual ceremony is taking place at 8pm ET and will air live in every time zone. This is 30 minutes earlier than the show has started in previous years.
ABC is airing the show on television and you can live stream the show on ABC.com or on the ABC app if you live in one of the following markets and have a subscription with a participating TV provider: Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham and San Francisco.
Before the show kicks off, ABC is airing exclusive red carpet coverage starting at 6:30pm ET and the coverage will air live in each time zone. The E! Live from the Red Carpet show will go from 5pm – 7pm this year.
Who is Hosting?
This year’s Oscars host is Jimmy Kimmel, marking his second year in a row taking on the master of ceremonies role. He’s the first person to host back-to-back ceremonies since Billy Crystal did it in the late 1990s.
Who is Nominated?
Leading the nominations this year is The Shape of Water with thirteen nods, Dunkirk with eight, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri with seven. Make sure to check out the full list of nominations ahead of the show and also find out who we predicted to win.
Who is Presenting? Who is Performing?
There are going to be so many great presenters and performers hitting the stage during the show. The five songs nominated for Best Original Song will all be represented by the stars who performed them in the movies.
