Time's Up Oscars 2018 Protest: Are Celebrities Wearing Black to Academy Awards?

After celebrities wore black to both the 2018 Golden Globes as well as the 2018 BAFTAs, many are wondering if stars will stick with the trend and show their support for Time’s Up by wearing black tonight at the 2018 Oscars.

This week, some of the Time’s Up organizers including TV creator Shonda Rhimes, actresses Tessa Thompson and Laura Dern, director Ava DuVernay, producer Katie McGrath, and attorney Nina Shaw, spoke at a press conference and confirmed there will be no dress code.

Shonda said the initiative “was launched on the red carpet but was never intended to live there.”

Stars are expected to show support for the movement in other ways.
