An inclusion rider is a contract addendum that requires studios to hire a diverse crew and/or cast for a project, which Frances McDormand brought attention to during the 2018 Oscars ceremony.

“In support of the women & men who are leading this fight, I will be adopting the Inclusion Rider for all projects produced by my company Outlier Society. I’ve been privileged to work with powerful woman & persons of color throughout my career & it’s Outlier’s mission to continue to create for talented individuals going forward. If you want to learn more about how to support the cause – link in bio,” he captioned the post.

No. White men usually have no trouble getting what they want. White men are paid more than any other color or gender, even when the parts are equal. Sometimes a little help is needed to even the playing field.

The only people who would have a problem with this is entitled white men who don’t want to let go of their privilege. Its sad that this has to be implemented but it will only make the films and projects better and more like the world they supposedly depict.

I’m wonder if this rider us going to represented the real percentage of all races in the USA – to remind – 61 % of white, about 20% of Latinos, 13 % of Black, 6% of Asian and 1% of Native. So all movie sets should looks like this if we want to talk about justice and equality.

They don’t look like that. I’m guessing you’re a White male.
