16-Year-Old Amanda Anisimova Is Taking the Tennis World by Storm!

A name you should remember is Amanda Anisimova as she’s the hot new star in the tennis world who is proving to be a strong player!

The 16-year-old from New Jersey earned a spot in the BNP Paribas Open from a wild-card entry and she has already smashed the competition during her first two matches.

As the child of Russian parents, Amanda is being compared to Anna Kournikova and Maria Sharapova, though she has never considered playing for Russia because she’s an American.

“I never considered representing Russia,” Amanda told the New York Times last year. “I do plan on going, though. I really want to visit and see what it’s like and see the culture more.”
