Francia Raisa Says She & Selena Gomez Went Through Depression After Kidney Transplant
Francia Raisa is opening up about the hardship both she and Selena Gomez went through during the life-saving kidney transplant for Selena.
Francia opened up about the experience in an interview with Self, published on Wednesday (March 14).
“It’s going to be hard, the recipient is going to glow and she’s going to recover a lot faster than the donor because she’s getting something she needs and you are losing something you don’t need to lose. It’s going to be hard,” a social worker told Francia right before the surgery.
“And it was hard. Selena and I both went through a depression,” she said.
“Your scars don’t define you. It’s a part of your story. It’s a part of the story that makes you special and you different.”
