Get to Know 'Love, Simon' Actor Joey Pollari with These 10 Fun Facts (Exclusive)

Love, Simon is the inspiring and heartwarming movie you need to see this weekend and we caught up with actor Joey Pollari to learn more about him!

The 23-year-old actor plays the role of Lyle in the film and he previously was seen in season two of American Crime.

Here are 10 Fun Facts about him:

• 1. In my free time, I compose music. I’ve made scores for short films, plays, podcasts, and I’m currently scoring a web series.
• 2. As a kid, my favorite meal was a bowl of mashed potatoes, beans, ketchup, and cheese.
• 3. I once traveled to Florida with a competition dance team.
• 4. Sometimes I have nightmares about getting eaten by an alligator.
• 5. When I was a teenager, I had a near-death experience while scuba diving. To conquer my fear, I went diving last year in Koh Tao, Thailand. I ended up staying for a week and became Advanced Open Water scuba-certified.

• 6. When there is a new album I’ve been looking forward to, I lie down on my bed, put on my headphones, turn off my phone, and listen to it start to finish.

• 8. When I auditioned for Love, Simon I accidentally pronounced the word ‘Hanukkah’ wrong.
• 9. I’m still catching up, but my favorite movies of 2017 were A Quiet Passion, Phantom Thread, Good Time, Lady Bird, and Get Out.
