Diddy Reveals He Became Depressed From an Addiction to His Phone

Diddy is on the cover of GQ magazine’s April 2018 issue, on newsstands March 20.

Here’s what the 48-year-old entertainer had to share with the mag…

On becoming depressed after developing an addiction to his phone two and a half years ago: “[I] far away from God.” He then traveled to Sedona, Arizona to get “reconnected with his magic” and started hearing songs in his head again. “I’m not 100 percent knowing how to come up with the sounds yet.”

On his goals as a public figure: “I want to be an authentic, unapologetic warrior for black culture and the culture of the street and how it moves. My thing is most importantly to change the narrative of the black race. I can’t relate to anything that isn’t about that.”

On reinventing himself: “I like re-inventing. It’s why I follow David Bowie and Madonna.”
