Christina Aguilera Reveals Hit Song 'Infatuation' Was About Ex Boyfriend Who Was Gay

Christina Aguilera is opening up about the inspiration behind her hit 2002 song “Infatuation.”

While appearing on the season premiere of Untucked – the RuPaul’s Drag Race’s after show – the 37-year-old entertainer revealed the hit song was inspired by the heartbreak she felt after learning her ex boyfriend was gay.

“Was that about someone?” asked contestant Monique Heart. “Girl you read him for the back row. When you said, ‘You tried to take a joy ride and came down in flames,’ I said, ‘Oooh.’ She read him.”

“Of course it was! He deserved it,” Christina responded. “It was heartbreaking because I found out he played for your team, not mine,” implying her ex was gay, causing a huge reaction from the queens.
