Katie Holmes Speaks Out After 'Dawson's Creek' Co-Stars Left Out of Reunion

Katie Holmes is sending love to her Dawson’s Creek co-stars who were left out of the recent reunion.

The 39-year-old actress gave a shout out to Mary-Margaret Humes and John Wesley Shipp, who played her parents on the show and said they were “blindsided” by the reunion.

“This was [Entertainment Weekly's] choice…not ours…it was done behind our backs and we both were literally blindsided by it when we woke up yesterday in NYC and LA…we both did a short telephone interview after the fact but were never told about the reunion,” Mary-Margaret wrote on her Instagram.

She later added, “For the portion of our family that did appear in these photos…congratulations…you look great and I love you…I only wish I had been given the opportunity to have said it to your faces. Such a shame.”

After reading Mary-Margaret‘s message, Katie took to her Instagram to respond.

Mary Margaret and John were such a huge and important part of #dawsonscreek I am so grateful to have worked with them and experience their kindness 💕 #creekweek @thereal_marymargarethumes @johnwesleyshippjr,” Katie wrote.
