Sarah Jessica Parker Defends Carrie Bradshaw After Fan Calls the Character a Bad Friend

Sarah Jessica Parker is speaking out to defend her beloved character Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City after a fan said she was a bad friend.

The Cut published an article in which fifteen fans talked about the moments from the HBO series that they can’t stop thinking about.

“I often think about the time Carrie was too busy to help Miranda, who was lying naked on the floor of her bathroom with a back injury, and sent Aidan instead … then later ‘apologized’ with bagels … only to have an in to talk about herself,” the outlet published on their Instagram account.

SJP responded to this in the comments section and wrote, “That’s the worst example!!!! Come on! There are so many moments when Carrie is good, generous, reliable, loving, present and supportive to her dear Miranda. I assure you! We just need time together and a VCR, I can prove it!”

Another fan commented saying, “I always thought Carrie was a horrible girlfriend to the girls. Men were always her priority and I hated that about her character.” SJP replied, “No!!! There are countless examples of her being a very good friend to Miranda. Miranda wouldn’t have stuck around a half [assed] friendship! Xx.”
