Chris Evans got in a little early morning Twitter fun when he commented on Octavia Spencer‘s birthday message to him.

The 37-year-old actor celebrated his birthday on June 13, and Octavia wrote a simple and sweet, “Happy birthday” with no punctuation.

Chris responded to Octavia hours later, “Would an exclamation point have killed you? Any number of emojis would have sufficed. The only thing missing from this tweet is a period. You better step it up next year, Spencer.”

Octavia then responded, “Bro, I was gonna send my emojis in a letter!!!!!!! Miss you,” – and she included emojis this time! Cute!
