Jerry Seinfeld 'Didn't See Why It Was Necessary' to Fire Roseanne Barr - Find Out Why

Jerry Seinfeld is weighing in on the cancellation of Roseanne, and her subsequent firing from the network after they picked up a spinoff featuring other characters.

“I didn’t see why it was necessary to fire her,” Jerry said of Roseanne Barr. “Why would you murder someone who’s committing suicide?”

“But I never saw someone ruin their entire career with one button push. That was fresh,” he added.

“I think they should get another Roseanne,” Jerry said of hiring another woman to play the role. “They brought Dan Conner back, he was dead and they brought him back. So, why can’t we get another Roseanne? There’s other funny women that could do that part. You need to get the comic in there. I hate to see a comic lose a job.”

She got fired because all major companies are PC now, and all mistakes make major headlines in this internet culture. She made a huge, racist mistake.
However, although I’m Democrat, I don’t think she should have lost her job. Suspended, maybe – forced to go to race training – but she is a comic and an actress and those two things don’t have anything to do with each other. She’s not supposed to be a role model. Just like Clinton should have kept his job for getting a BJ. Being a great president has nothing to do with the other.
