Robin Wright Saved 'House of Cards' Following Kevin Spacey's Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Robin Wright was reportedly the driving force behind bringing House of Cards back for a sixth season following Kevin Spacey‘s sexual misconduct scandal.

According to her co-star Patricia Clarkson, Robin worked alongside the HOC showrunners to ensure the show wasn’t cancelled and those working on the series kept their jobs.

“It was truly the great Robin Wright rallying. We have beautiful showrunners, Frank [Pugliese] and Melissa [James Gibson], and they killed themselves to rethink the whole show. It’s only eight episodes,” Patricia explained on The Talk.

She added, “Robin led all of this charge so that people would save their livelihoods because when the show goes away some people don’t get paid. I think it’s gonna be a stunning, stunning new season.”

Production on House of Cards season six began earlier this year but does not yet have a premiere date.
